SARAJEVO, Bosnia-Herzegovina (AP) - Authorities say police have detained seven former Bosnian Army soldiers who are suspected of having killed 20 Bosnian Serb civilians during the country's 1992-95 war.

A statement from the prosecutor's office said Friday the suspects attacked a group of civilians as they were fleeing fighting in 1992. The statement describes the killings of mainly women, children and elderly people, as the worst wartime killing of Serbs in eastern Bosnia.

Over 100,000 people were killed during the war, which also turned half of the country's population of 4.3 million into refugees.
