SAN FRANCISCO ‐ BYU's all-time receiving yards leader, Austin Collie, has signed a one-year deal with the San Francisco 49ers, according to multiple reports.

Collie hasn't played in the NFL since suffering a ruptured patellar tendon that ended his 2012 season after just one game. Collie has also suffered several concussions during his NFL career, which has made NFL teams cautious of his future in the NFL.

Collie was drafted by the Indianapolis Colts in 2009 and, prior to his season-ending injury in 2012, had accumulated 1,845 receiving yards and 16 touchdowns.

As a receiver for BYU, Collie holds several records for the Cougars. Not only is he first in receiving yards with 3,255, Collie is also the school's touchdown leader with 30 career TDs.
