Last night I got a text from my buddy Huu, another Utah State graduate. It was a video clip of the USA -Panama World Cup Qualifier, with the statement, "listen very closely to the crowd."
Now me, juvenile as I can be, thought it was somebody dropping an expletive that got picked up by the mic or some creative barb aimed at the refs.
Then I heard it.
I didn't need to hear anymore, I knew what he was talking about.
It was the staple of every Aggie game being used on a global level.
Now, is this Earth shattering news?
No.
It's not the first time it has been used by someone else; just about every high school in the state of Utah uses it before their games. Sometimes both schools do it consecutively (I'm not kidding, I saw schools do it back to back at the State Tournament, it was beautiful).
Even San Diego State has adopted it as their own; however, this is the first time I've seen it on a national broadcast, and as an Aggie fan, that's something to be proud of.
