After months of enduring the frigid winter air, the idea of a warm and sunny summer vacation sounds very appealing. Rather than taking a Caribbean cruise or Disneyland vacation, Moab Adventure Center Vice President Brandon Lake hopes I might consider a trip to Moab.
Moab is less than four hours away from Salt Lake City, and Brandon assures me I will be in good hands. In fact, Moab Adventure Center's parent company, Western River Expeditions, has been leading people down the Green and Colorado rivers for nearly 50 years.
Four years ago, Western River Expeditions added several short one-day excursions to the mix of adventures it offered. The company purchased and remodeled the old Taco Bell building on Main Street in Moab and opened the Moab Adventure Center. This year, the Adventure Center will guide more than 20,000 guests from around the world on exciting Moab adventures.

The Adventure Center offers more than 30 exciting trips and vacation packages, whether you want to raft the Colorado River or explore the backcountry in a Hummer. You could also experience world-class rock climbing and canyoneering, horseback riding, or touring the National Parks by scenic flight or a guided hike.
