Time Magazine recently reported that, in 2012, consumers spent $51 billion on pets, a record that's expected to be broken again this year. Part of the reason for that is the overall percentage of homes with pets has increased to 62 percent .... Point is, pet owners love to spoil their pets... And Tara Radmall, from TaraDawn Photography, loves to take photos of kids and animals because she just loves their energy and enthusiasm.
It's been five years since Tara launched Tara Dawn Photography and she now takes pictures of everything from weddings to motherhood and maternity photos to kids and pets... She specializes in the last two....
Tara's interest in animal photography started one day when she drove out to Heber City. She was visiting a farm and saw all the livestock and decided to try her hand at taking pictures of the animals. It reminded her of her background, when she grew up on a cattle ranch. The experience of photographing all the animals so intrigued her that she started taking pictures of other animals. And soon she had enough business to specialize in animals at Tara Dawn Photography.
Tara knew that in many families, animals are like another family member. So, when she started offering animal photography, people were excited about it. More than 9 in 10 pet owners consider their pets to be members of the family, and 81 percent say pets are equal members of the family.... Pet photos can be a great gift for people who are especially difficult to buy for.
Here's how it works — a typical session at Tara Dawn Photography includes up to three pets, but you can to pay a little more and add more pets ... You , as the owner, will calm your pet first.. Once they're ready for close-ups, Tara comes in to do her thing. After the session, Tara compiles a disc of the photos, puts a preview on her blog, taradawnphotography.com, and mails the disc to the client.
