SALT LAKE CITY — Paul Millsap will be traded to the Clippers for Eric Bledsoe! Paul Millsap will be traded to Indiana for Danny Granger!

Paul Millsap isn't going anywhere for the time being. After his name was associated with every rumor with the Jazz and the trade deadline, one pm mountain time Thursday, nothing happened. The team that Jazz fans watched beat the Warriors on Tuesday for their third straight win, is the team they will watch for the next 27 regular season games and probably 6(max) more games in the playoffs. For better or worse, this is your Jazz team. Jazz currently sit in the 7th spot in the West and if the playoffs began today, they would play Oklahoma City.

Jazz have 8 players that will have their contracts expire after this season. Millsap, Al Jefferson, Mo Williams, Randy Foye, Jamaal Tinsley, Earl Watson DeMarre Carroll and Raja Bell. That's about 40 million dollars of salaries that will be taken off the books.

During the off season, the Jazz can re-sign these players, sign and trade or just let them walk without getting anything in return. That is why Paul Millsap was rumored to be traded. The Jazz would at least get another player in return. Now, there is a possibility that Millsap could simply sign with another team and the Jazz would go out in free agency and try to bring in a player of equal or better value.

It is a shell game. The Jazz chose to stay with what they have and over the summer, they will have to live by the decision they made on Thursday Feb 21.
