SALT LAKE CITY — The Harlem Shake has overtaken Gangnam Style in popularity, with different versions being recorded across the country right now. I'm not sure what the guidelines are — I just know that when I watch them, I laugh.
What makes this version special is Kirk Gibson reenacting his famous "fist pump." Gibson is the manager of the Diamondbacks, but his big moment came in 1988, with a walk-off home run in the World Series. It's nice to see that he is willing to have fun with the memory.
Other top candidates for highlights are the man rowing a paddle on the grass, the mascot riding the golf cart, a dancing banana, and the giant player faces in the crowd.
Watch it again and see if you can spot Waldo. It took me a few tries, don't feel bad if you can't find him.
All-Star Game BloopersI would consider myself someone who enjoys watching basketball, no matter what level. Somehow, I don't find myself enjoying the All-Star game that much. The stars of the league come together, and just goof off for 48 minutes in a game that doesn't mean much at the end of the season.
There are some out-of-this-world things to see though, like the best players combining for incredible plays. Some players take it seriously, and I appreciate that.
That being said, it is funny to see the stars mess up or play around on the court. It's the only game where Shaq going between his legs becomes "must-see" entertainment.
DeAndre Jordan Awful Free Throw
There are many things DeAndre Jordan can do well. He can sky for rebounds, hammer dunk with the best of them, and plays solid defense.
Shooting free throws, now that is not one of the things that he does well.
Last night, during the Clippers away game against the Lakers, Jordan badly missed a free throw, prompting some reflection from self and peers.
Watch the video - is that the worst free throw attempt of all time, or just the worst one until Jordan is sent to the line again?
Did he just shoot a / air back board shot!! — Tony Allen (@aa000G9) February 15, 2013
