WASHINGTON (AP) -- Playskool is recalling about 300,000 toys designed to encourage crawling babies to pull themselves up to a standing position, but that can tip over and have caused more than two dozen injuries.

The Pawtucket, R.I., company has received 44 reports of the toy tipping over and 26 reports of injuries to babies.

Those include one minor concussion, as well as bumps, bruises, black eyes and cut lips, the Consumer Product Safety Commission announced Tuesday.

The company's "Magic Start Crawl 'n Stand" is plastic with a round base and three arched legs with an electronic toy on top. The Playskool logo appears on the base and the top piece. The words "ITEM . 06952" and "Made in China" appear under the top piece.

The toys were sold at Wal-Mart stores nationwide from November 2002 through April 2003 for about $14.

CPSC advised consumers to immediately stop using the toy and contact the company for information on returning and exchanging the product. The company can be reached anytime at 1-800-509-9554.
