SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Gordan Giricek is back with the Utah Jazz, a week after coach Jerry Sloan ordered him to the locker room during a road game against Charlotte and then sent him home.

Giricek will be in uniform Friday against the Los Angeles Lakers after missing three games.

"Whatever happened, happened. We just move forward," Sloan said.

Sloan and general manager Kevin O'Connor met with Giricek before practice Thursday.

"What we expect is for Giri to play and do what the rest of the team does," O'Connor said.

Giricek and Sloan had a hot exchange during a timeout against Charlotte on Dec. 19. Giricek called it a "misunderstanding."

He seemed pleased to be reinstated. Giricek, a guard from Croatia, is averaging 4.3 points and 12.7 minutes per game, below his career averages.

"I know my future is bright," he said. "It works out one way or another, but it's always uncomfortable situation when (you don't know) what's going to happen."
