On Saturday, November 20th, Log Haven restaurant will celebrate its 10th Anniversary with a very special gala dinner. But not content to simply to toot their own horn for their decade of business success, the folks at Log Haven are taking the opportunity to celebrate their 10th Anniversary with a dinner in support of a great cause: Women’s Ski Jumping – USA.

Hey, did you know that although ski jumping has been an Olympic sport since 1924, ski jumping is the only Olympic sport where women aren’t allowed to participate? So the goal of Women’s Ski Jumping – USA is to realize the goal of having women ski jumpers participate in the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics.

And so on November 20th you can join Olympians Jim Shea, Nikki Stone and Stein Eriksen along with former mayor Deedee Corradini and others at Log Haven restaurant to celebrate their 10th Anniversary and to help the cause of women’s Olympic ski jumping.

Along with a live band and silent auction, menu items for this gala dinner from Chef David Jones include a grilled scallop and prawn salad, pan-seared filet mignon with truffled gruyere potatoes, and a bittersweet Cointreau truffle with a white chocolate-vanilla bean sauce.

I’m told that tickets to help the ski jumpers are going fast, so to get a jump on Log Haven’s anniversary fundraiser, for tickets and information call 435-649-3736 or log onto www.womensskijumpingusa.com. And congratulations to Log Haven for their 10 years of excellence.
