The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has found a way to utilize gaudy Times Square to target New Yorkers and millions of visitors in promoting its message of faith in Jesus Christ for Christmas.

The "I'm a Mormon" advertising campaign in New York City was such a success, that the Church is taking on the city again to spread a Christmas message.

On "Mormon Times TV" this Sunday, you'll see the latest advertising campaign—in the Big Apple, and on the internet. I saw it for myself during our visit last week—and you'll see how you can easily share the message of Christ over commercialism this holiday season.

"Number one, we're trying to help people understand that we do love and follow Jesus Christ," said Greg Droubay, Media Director for the Missionary Department. "And number two, give them a variety of ways to interact with us."

He is referring to the Internet campaign, which you can find at Mormon.org/Christmas. There you can leave your feelings about Jesus Christ, request a free Bible, download free Mormon Tabernacle Choir Christmas music, and even download and share electronic Jesus-themed Christmas cards.

"But, more importantly, as it's a missionary website, we hope that they'll identify non-members, less actives, others that might benefit from a message about Jesus Christ during the Christmas season," Droubay said. "We continue to work on helping people not familiar with the Church understand that we do believe in Jesus Christ. But ultimately, this is about bringing people to Christ and what a great time to do it, at Christmas!"
