PROVO, Utah (Dec. 6, 2007) - Brigham Young University Athletics announced today a change in the broadcast schedule for its men's basketball game vs. Michigan State on Saturday, Dec. 8, at 2:00 p.m. (MT).

The game, originating from EnergySolutions Arena in Salt Lake City, will be broadcast live nationally on BYU Television. KJZZ Channel 14 will also broadcast the game locally in the Salt Lake City market.

BYU controls the live television broadcast rights to the game and had offered live nationwide broadcast rights to Versus and BYUTV, and local broadcast rights to KJZZ Channel 14. BYU received notice Thursday that Versus has decided not to air the game.

"We are excited for the opportunity to air the BYU-Michigan State game nationally on BYU Television," said BYU Director of Athletics Tom Holmoe. "Our goal is to continue to find ways to broadcast live sporting events to our fans across the United States and throughout the world. We appreciate the long-standing relationship we've enjoyed with BYUTV."

BYUTV is available in 45 million homes throughout the United States on the basic packages of both Dish Network and DirecTV, and on approximately 200 cable systems. BYU Broadcasting also provides as a free service a live program stream via the Internet at www.byutv.org.

The game will also be available on KSL Radio 1160 AM/102.7 FM and online at KSL.com.

BYU is coming off a 72-57 victory over Weber State on Wednesday evening. The 7-1 Cougars are ranked No. 20 nationally, while the 7-1 Spartans are ranked No. 9.
