Since the inception of the MWC in 1999, here is how the schools are ranked, by number of 1st team citations received:

BYU-42

New Mexico-41

Utah-35

Colorado State-33

SDSU-22

UNLV-15

TCU-14 (TCU joined in 2005)

Wyoming-14

Air Force-14

BYU has had at least one all-conference 1st team selection on offense every year but 2003, and at least one all-conference 1st team selection on defense every year but 2005.

*******

Utah has had at least one all-conference 1st team selection on defense every year, and this is the first year Utah did not have at least one player picked to the all-conference offensive 1st team.

*******

For the 3rd year in a row and 5th time in 9 years, BYU had the all-conference 1st team quarterback.

*******

Despite his "2nd team status," Harvey Unga is 89 yards away from becoming only the 18th freshman in NCAA history to rush for 1300 yards in a season.

Unga needs 25 carries to tie the BYU single season record for carries in a season (252, Ronney Jenkins in 1998).

*******

With 269 yards passing against UCLA, Max Hall will surpass John Beck's passing yardage total from his senior season (Note: Beck missed the Utah State game in 2006, so his totals are from 12 games, not 13).

*******

Bronco is 12-2 in games played in November and December.

*******

Only five teams have more wins than BYU (21) in the last 2 seasons:

23-Hawaii, Boise State and Ohio State

22-Oklahoma and Florida

Of course, all five teams have played in BCS bowls.

*******

BYU has had 300+ yards of total offense in every one of the games Bronco Mendenhall and Robert Anae have coached together.

*******

BYU has scored on 32 consecutive trips into the Blue Zone (not counting ends of games when BYU was running out the clock).
