I like Tom Izzo a lot, but I had to chuckle at a line reported in the Detroit Free Press, when he said: "90% of the BYU players are married."
Of the 16 players on the BYU roster, only four are married.
The reporter then added BYU is the "oldest" team Michigan State will face. Now that the football and basketball teams are successful at the same time, it's interesting how age and marital status are suddenly hot topics again.
The Free Press also notes that MSU is playing AT Brigham Young on Saturday. The game is actually a neutral floor "back end" of a two-year deal that opened with a neutral floor game at the Palace of Auburn Hills last year.
