President Bush's press conference dominated the news this morning. We carried his brief remarks live at 8:00 AM during which he reprimanded Congress for not acting quickly enough to send him spending bills that will fund the federal government and specifically the troops. He also promised to veto any omnibus bill that contains pork projects.

On a lighter note, we learned today that rocker Tom Petty will be the halftime show during Super Bowl XLII. For those who thought Prince left something to be desired last year (not including Amanda - who loved him), this is particularly good news.

Plus - today is Grant's wife's birthday. He wished her Happy Birthday right out of the shoot at 5:04 this morning. And his daughter Melissa just sent us a text message to make sure he didn't forget. (What? Grant? Forget?)
