HURRICANE, Utah — All good things must come to an end. For Hurricane it was their 20-game winning streak.

The Tigers saw their impressive run come to an end last Thursday. They were stunned in three overtimes by Desert Hills, the team they beat in last year's 3A state championship game. The win puts the Thunder in the driver's seat to claim the No. 1 playoff seed out of region 9. They can clinch that spot with a victory over Cedar on Wednesday night.

Five games to watch this week
Game Night Live Game of the Week: No. 4 Bingham at Pleasant Grove Wednesday 7pm
Not many people will be giving Pleasant Grove a chance to win this game but they should. They knocked off Lone Peak at home two weeks ago, a team that beat Bingham the week before. If Pleasant Grove pulls off the upset they will claim a share of the Region 4 title and a No. 1 seed. A loss and there is a chance they could finish with a No. 4 seed. This game could significantly impact the 5A playoffs.Judge Memorial at No. 1 Juan Diego Thursday 7pm
The Soaring Eagle can soar through the regular season undefeated and claim their 10th consecutive region title with a win over the catholic school rival. Judge could force a three-way tie for first or claim the No. 1 seed in Region 10 with a win. Add the rivalry element to this game and it should make for a great atmosphere on Thursday.No. 4 Spanish Fork at Payson Thursday 7pm
A victory last week over North Sanpete earned Spanish Fork a share of the Region 12 title, their first in 20 years. They can claim it outright on Thursday night against Payson. If the Lions pull off the upset they will earn a share of the region title and claim a No. 1 seed.Snow Canyon at Pine View Wednesday 7pm
Region 9 is the deepest region in 3A. Three teams from the region reached the semifinals last year. One of these two teams may have what it takes to pull off a first round upset of a No. 1 seed in the playoffs. But first they have to get there. The winner will clinch a playoff spot and the loser will see their season come to an end. No. 1 East at No. 4 Logan Wednesday 7pm
This game has no bearing on postseason seeding since its a non-region contest but it still holds plenty of intrigue in the final week of the regular season. Last year East held out much of it's starters when the two teams met in the final week, something head coach Brandon Matich says won't happen this time around. Logan would go on to defeat East in the 4A championship. This time East is the No. 1 team and there is a good chance these two teams could meet again in the quarterfinals. The winner will take a big psychological edge into the playoffs.

Juan Diego is back at No. 1 in the 3A KSL Coaches Poll. The Soaring Eagle remain undefeated as does Stansbury who stays at No. 3.

Hurricane drops just one spot to No. 2.

Spanish Fork moves up to No. 4 after clinching at least a share for the Region 12 title. A win Thursday over Payson would give the Dons their first outright region title in 20 years.

Desert Hills moves into the top five at No. 5 after their stunning upset of Hurricane.

5A remains mostly the same this week as the top five teams took care of business.

Jordan remains No. 1 followed by undefeated Syracuse, Alta, Bingham and Northridge.

The one change is Bingham moving ahead of Northridge in the top five.

The top four teams in 4A won easily leaving the top four spots unchanged this week. Herriman moves back into the poll at No. 5 after they crushed Westlake to claim a share of the Region 7 title. They won a coin flip with Olympus and Skyline and will get the No. 1 seed out of Region 7.

Olympus is the No. 2 seed and Skyline will open the playoffs on the road as a 3 seed.

San Juan is No. 1 in the final 2A poll of the season.

They are followed by Manti, South Summit, Millard, and Beaver. The top four teams all receive byes in the first round of the 2A playoffs which begin Thursday.

Duchesne saw their winning streak reach 30 last week and they remain No. 1 in the 1A poll. They are followed by Diamond Ranch, Rich, Summit Academy and Altamont.
