I'm still three weeks away from the due date but Greg Wrubell and all of my neighbors teased me that I'd go into labor during the BYU-Utah game. I would have held off pushing to watch the end of the game -- and what an ending. 4th and 18! But no baby yet, though I really did mangle my nails I was so nervous those last two minutes.

But it may have been good to have a baby that day, to give something for me and my husband to think about besides the game. He's a Ute, I'm a Cougar, and that's the hardest day of the year for us. I'm sure it is for many families. But boy wasn't that AWESOME for BYU to win that game.

On another note I am nesting big time these days before this baby comes. It's not enough that I'm bustling around my house. Today I went nuts cleaning up my desk in the newsroom. I have so many papers and files I've been trying to go through. Plus piles of minidiscs and cds with old stories and interviews on them. I also have books people have sent me in hopes of getting on the air. I could leave it all in organized chaos but I just feel this urgency to recycle!
