(KSL News) Fifty body bags were laid out along Main Street in Salt Lake City this afternoon to illustrate how many people die from tobacco products every hour.
Several groups led by the Phoenix Alliance laid out the bags as part of the 31st Annual Great American Smokeout.
The American Cancer Society wants people to celebrate the anniversary by kicking the habit. Officials there say now is the time for people to stop smoking because more and more laws are being passed to restrict smoking areas and multiple studies are coming out about the dangers of the habit.
