Pac-12 favorite USC received 19 first place votes and is ranked No. 3. Conference foes Oregon (No. 5) and Stanford (No. 18) are also in the top 25.
Both BYU and Utah are among teams to have received votes but not included in the poll. If you translate the number of votes each school got, Utah would be ranked No. 32, while BYU would be ranked No. 37.
According to the preseason poll, Utah will face one top 25 team (USC, Thursday Oct. 4).
BYU will face two teams in the top 25, with road trips to Boise (Boise State, No. 22) and South Bend (Notre Dame, No. 24).
