SALT LAKE CITY — Miller Racing, based in Salt Lake City, will rejoin the SCCA Pirelli World Challenge Championship this weekend, August 3-5, at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio.

The team's last outing with World Challenge was at the Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix in early June. The team missed a race at the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (formerly known as Mosport) in late June, and the series has been on hiatus since then.

It will be an action-packed weekend at the picturesque and historic Ohio venue, as the Pirelli World Challenge Championship will share the bill with both the IZOD Indy Car Series and the American Le Mans Series. The World Challenge teams will have an hour of practice at 10:00 a.m. EDT on Friday morning on the 2.258-mile, 13-turn circuit prior to a 45-minute qualifying session at 4:30 p.m. EDT on Friday afternoon. The remainder of the weekend includes two World Challenge races, the first at 5:10 p.m. EDT on Saturday and the second at 9:55 a.m. EDT on Sunday morning.

Miller Racing's No. 23 Ford Mustang Boss 302S, sponsored by the Larry H. Miller Dealerships, the Ford Racing High Performance Driving School, Miller Motorsports Park, Coca- Cola, Zions Bank and EnergySolutions, is prepared and fielded by Rehagen Racing, and team principal Roger Miller says the two-month layoff won't be an issue.

"It's going to be great to be back in World Challenge competition," Miller said. "I love the sprint-race format, because there's no strategy involved; you just go for it from green to checkers. I'm also looking forward to being back in our No. 23 Miller Racing Boss 302S; the guys at Rehagen Racing do such a great job prepping the car, and getting back behind the wheel will be like slipping on a favorite pair of comfortable shoes. I'm raring to go!"

Both races at Mid-Ohio will be live-streamed online at www.World-ChallengeTV.com. The races will be broadcast by NBC Sports Network in a 90-minute program scheduled for 1:30 p.m. EDT on Saturday, August 25.
