This season's schedule is highlighted by BYU's first-ever appearance in the Coaches vs. Cancer Classic at the Barclay's Center in Brooklyn--the new home of the NBA's Brooklyn Nets. The Cougars will play games against two of Notre Dame, Florida State and St. Joseph's.
Also included are a pair of road games in Big 12 country: at Iowa State and at Baylor; the agreement is for the Cyclones to play at BYU in 2013-14.
Virginia Tech will pay back BYU's January 2012 trip to Blacksburg with a visit to Energy Solutions Arena; the Cougars will also host Montana on the Utah Jazz' home floor during a week BYU is displaced from the Marriott Center by "Christmas Around the World" preparations.
In-state games will be played v. Utah State and Utah in Provo, and at Weber State--all within the space of a week.
Note: after welcoming Oregon to Energy Solutions Arena in 2011-12, the original plan was for BYU to visit Oregon in 2012-13. A scheduling conflict will have BYU playing the Ducks at Matthew Knight Arena in 2013-14 instead.
