This morning was a riot. Friday mornings often are, but today was more so than usual. Grant and I have both (like a lot of you I imagine) had a helluva week. So we were feeling some gratitude and a little bit distracted this morning by the relief of Friday. That led to more laughter and levity than usual (and a text message from a guy who said, "Amanda - what are you on today? And where can I get some?")
So when Grant reminded everyone to turn their clocks back because if you don't, you'll be late - I said, "No you won't. You'll be early."
"No, Amanda, you'll be late."
Long pause.
"Are you sure? I think you'll be early."
This went on for quite some time, with Grant finally convincing me he was right (wimp that I am) until the text messages started pouring in. They were hysterical. Here's a sample:
"Amanda ur not wrong. At 2 u turn ur clock to 1. Good luck with him. Rog"
"Sorry Grant. You would be early."
"Amanda was right. Grant is wrong. Stick to your guns Amanda."
Oh - sweeter words were never spoken.
See you Monday with more decorum. Hope you texters will be there for us again. Have a great weekend.
