PHOENIX - The Arizona Rattlers signed the 2007 Offensive Player of the Year WR SIAHA BURLEY (5-10, 185, Central Florida ), Head Coach Kevin Guy announced today.

Burley, who last played for the Utah Blaze, enjoyed a record-setting year in 2007, shattering league records for receptions (166) and receiving yards (2,129). The previous standards were set by Marcus Nash (154 receptions in 2004) and former Rattler Calvin Schexnayder (1,982 yards in 1998). Burley also finished a close second in touchdowns with 49.

"Siaha is a consistent performer and a very dependable receiver," said Guy. "He is a threat to score every time he touches the ball."

He returns to his home state of Arizona where the last time he donned a Rattler uniform, he came away as the AFLWA Player of the Year (2005). Burley has averaged over 100 catches a season and hasn't had less than that since 2003. He has averaged 46 touchdowns a season over the last three years and has posted five 1,000 yard seasons in seven years in the Arena League.

"It's nice to be back," said Burley of his return to Arizona . "I feel like I'm home, not just in a regional sense, but in football as well. I believe in the leadership here, and I'm ready to roll."
