There are 13 FBS coaches who in 2005 got their first FBS head coaching jobs (11 of them got their first 4-year school head coaching jobs that year, and 2 others got their first FBS school head coaching jobs that year--they previously were coaches at 4-year schools in lower divisions). *18-14 Bill Cubit, Western Michigan (He was previously head coach at Widener—Division III. Western Michigan was his first FBS job)
