Family history and genealogy has become more mainstream in recent years thanks to television shows like Faces of America and NBC'S acclaimed series,"Who do you think you are?"
Actress Lisa Kudrow is the executive producer of the show. She pitched it in America after watching a version of the show in the United Kingdom a couple of years ago. Utah-based, Ancestry.com, does the research for the show. They say "Who do you think you are?" is just one of the platforms they use to show people how exciting discovering their family history can be.
Researchers are also excited about the April 2 release of the The 1940 Census. Those records have never been available online.
