SALT LAKE CITY — It was exhausted after watching it. I can't imagine how the players from both teams feel after playing in it.

The Atlanta Hawks outlasted the Utah Jazz Sunday 139-133 in a game that took four overtimes to decide a winner. The Jazz had four chances to win the game in regulation and in overtime.

Several milestones were reached in the marathon and not all of them were good. It was the first quadruple overtime game since 1997 and only the ninth in NBA history. The two teams combined to score just four points in the first overtime, which is the second fewest in NBA history in an overtime period.

According to Elias Sports Bureau, the Jazz missed 77 shots, which is the highest single-game total in an NBA game since 1993 and the most ever by the Jazz. It was the longest game in the history of both franchises. According to the Utah Jazz, Gordon Hayward tied Karl Malone's franchise record for minutes played in a game with 57. Four other Jazz players — Devin Harris, Paul Millsap, Al Jefferson and CJ Miles — all played 50 or more minutes.

Not only did the Jazz come out on the losing end, but now they have to play at New Jersey Monday night. How is that for a brutal turnaround?

Tiger Wins

It took Tiger Woods 924 days, but the drought is finally over. Woods won at Bay Hill Sunday, his first PGA Tour victory since November 2009. It was his 72nd career PGA Tour victory and first in his last 26 tour events.

Is the old Tiger back? Time will tell, but for one weekend, he definitely was.

A bad national anthem

We've seen the national anthem botched many times, and often by celebrities who have no business singing in public. Rosanne and Carl Lewis are two examples.

It is not often that someone destroys both the Star- Spangled Banner and Oh Canada at the same sporting event, but it happened Saturday night when the Ottawa Senators hosted the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Canadian opera star Measha Brueggergosman took more than four painful minutes to sing both anthems, a performance that caused players like Sidney Crosby to chuckle.

Best of the Weekend

Who had the best dunk of the NCAA Tournament? Baylor's Quincy Acy or Florida's Patric Young?

Perhaps it was Baylor's Britney Griner who dunked in the women's tourney

She's done it, not once, but twice in this year's tournament.

Apparently the Baylor dunks were so good that this fan couldn't contain his excitement. I guess this is what they mean by March Madness.

The play of the weekend in the NBA has to go to Dwayne Wade and his 65-foot buzzer beater

Tim Duncan of the San Antonio Spurs did not play Sunday night against the 76ers due to old age.

Finally, it's not a good sign when you're trying to make a Major League baseball club and the game broadcast identifies you as "Minor League Guy."
