This is Chris Redgrave for Zions Bank Speaking on Business.
Downtown is absolutely on the rise, and all you have to do is look around to see it. City Creek Center opens this week, and excitement over this $1.5 billion project couldn't be higher. This historic investment will shape Utah's capital city for decades to come.
An important part of this stunning new development is The Gym at City Creek. This is a world-class fitness facility in the heart of downtown. Amenities include cardio and strength training, free weights, circuit training, indoor cycling, fitness classes, basketball and racquetball courts. If you feel like taking a swim . . . you can, in the indoor pool. You can also fuel up after your workout at the nutrition juice bar.
Rick Strout, general manager of The Gym, says what really sets them apart is their focus on providing an unmatched experience for members. With floor-to-ceiling windows that offer beautiful views of downtown, an onsite physical therapy practice and an executive locker room with a private sauna and daily laundry service, The Gym at City Creek will be known for their New York-style level of sophistication.
The Gym is also making it easier for the thousands of people who work, live or even visit Salt Lake City to get their daily exercise. Research has linked regular exercise with helping prevent disease, reduce weight, increase stamina and flexibility while improving overall quality of life. A recent study even found that regular moderate or high intensity physical activity can reduce your chances for cognitive impairment.
A best practice for The Gym is to offer only the best service. They want to make fitness fun and provide the right environment and staffing so their members can make positive life changes.
Being a part of City Creek Center is a big deal for The Gym. City Creek Center, opening tomorrow, is bringing in over 90 stores and restaurants, one third which are new to the market. It also involves the nation's first retractable skylight roof in a mall, designed to be opened in the nicer weather.
For Zions Bank, I'm Chris Redgrave, speaking on business.
