BOULDER, Colo. - March Madness is underway and college basketball seems to be at the top of everyone's mind, but I've got a high school buzzer beater that will keep you as entertained as those college boys do.
Chaparral High School and Arapahoe High School were battling it out for the boy's 5A state championship. The game went into overtime and with only seconds left it looked like it was headed for a second overtime. A Chaparral player put up a long three only to have it bounce off the back of the rim, but out of nowhere Chaparral player Josh Adams flies by the other players and manages an amazing tip-in to seal the game and the championship for his school.
The tip-in is incredible to watch, but the best thing of this video may be watching a player from the losing team give heart-felt congratulations to Adams. That's real sportsmanship and the kind of attitude we should be teaching our kids.
Tiger and Shaq Battle it Out
I'm not really sure where to start with this one. A new ad has popped up for "Tiger Woods PGA Tour 13" for the Xbox Kinect called "Duel of the Masters."
The commercial is a parody of the famous fight scene in "The Game of Death" between Bruce Lee and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. In this version Tiger "Crimson Cat" Woods and Shaquille "Swinging Giant" O'Neal show off some fancy kung-fu moves and then take a golf swing. The ad can be a little awkward at times, but you also can't help but chuckle. And I have to admit, I'm pretty impressed by the way Shaq can throw around that big body, that can't be easy.
Youth Soccer Insanity
So, you thought things got intense at your kid's youth soccer game? Get a load of this.
During a youth soccer tournament in Kornik, Poland some fans thought it would be a good idea to bring flares and firecrackers to cheer on their kids. Well, apparently these parents/fans forgot that the tournament was inside, surrounded by flammable material and oh yeah, filled with kids!
As you can see it looks like the building is actually on fire in the video and the only intelligent people in there seem to be the kids who are trying to get the flammable paper on the floor out of the way.
The excitement and danger levels got a little too high and officials cancelled the rest of the tournament. So, next time you get mad at the over-enthusiastic mom who brings a cowbell to your 9-year-old's soccer match, just be happy she didn't bring distress flares and M-80's.
