WEST VALLEY CITY - Brock Yates scored a game-high 21 points and pulled down nine rebounds to help No. 2 Bountiful defeat Herriman 57-49 in the 4A quarterfinals.

Herriman got off to a great start and led for most of the 1st quarter. The Mustangs were led by Tueni Lupeamanu who scored 16 points.

Bountiful used their height advantage and depth to pull away and take control of the game in the 2nd half. Yates went to work inside scoring five of his seven field goals in the 2nd half.

The Braves held Herriman to just 38 percent shooting.

They advance to Friday's semifinals where they will play the winner of Orem and Skyline.
