WEST VALLEY CITY — Last year at this time Zach Hunsaker led Woods Cross to the 4A Semifinals. Now he hopes to do the same with the Orem Tigers.

Hunsaker scored 13 points and had 9 assists against his former team leading Orem to a 57-47 opening round victory.

Woods Cross led early after a 3-pointer by Hayden Grant who led the Wildcats in scoring with 18. Orem quickly took the lead back and never trailed again. They shot 51 percent from the field while holding Woods Cross to just 27 percent shooting.

Sophomore Dalton Nixon led the Tigers in scoring with 14 points and also pulled down 9 rebounds. They will face Skyline in Wednesday's quarterfinals.
