SALT LAKE CITY - As the NBA heads into a break for the All-Star weekend, two Jazz players might not get the rest they thought they were getting.
Derrick Favors has been named to the BBVA Rising Stars Challenge that is part of the All-Star Weekend. He will join fellow sophomore Gordon Hayward on Team Chuck for the game.
The 6-10 forward from Georgia Tech is averaging 8.1 points per game to go along with 5 rebounds. He will be replacing injured Spurs forward Tiago Splitter.

The Jazz will have two players in the game for the third time, the last being Paul Millsap and Ronnie Brewer in 2008.
The game will be televised on 7 p.m. on TNT this Friday.
Another player that might be in Orlando this weekend is Jeremy Evans. He is another sophomore, but rumors are swirling about his participation in the Sprite Slam Dunk Contest.
A Twitter hashtag of #letjeremydunk sprung up not too long ago to get Evans into the contest, and now the rumors of him being added is coming from Twitter that shows screen shots off the Utah Jazz website.
Diana Allen tweeted a screen shot that has Evans' face with a tag that says "Now Playing: Jeremy Evans Added to 2012 Sprite Slam Dunk" as the title to the video.
@downrightdave tweeted, "Great day to be a Jazz fan. Congratulations to @JeremyEvans40, glad the @NBA decided to #letjeremydunk, & let @dfavors14 play! #WeAreUtahJazz".
The Slam Dunk Contest is scheduled for Saturday night with other activities that start at 6 p.m.
