BOZEMAN, Mont. (AP) -- Aaron Mason scored on a 7-yard touchdown run in the second quarter and Kory Austin intercepted Southern Utah in the end zone with 33 seconds left to help Montana State to a 7-3 win Saturday.

Snow fell early in the game and the field was sloppy. Mud covered the players' uniforms.

The Bobcats (4-1), ranked 13th in the Football Championship Subdivision, scored their only touchdown with 12:01 left in the half.

Southern Utah (0-5), playing its fourth game against ranked FCS teams, got its only score on a 48-yard field goal by Steve Pulver with 11:39 left in the third.

Southern Utah put together one final drive late in the game, covering 76 yards in seven plays, but Austin intercepted Wes Marshall in the end zone to extend Montana State's home winning streak to seven games.

Jack Rolovich completed just 9 of 22 passes for 75 yards for MSU, while Marshall was 19 of 31 for 215 yards and two interceptions for the Thunderbirds. Nick Miller caught five passes for 84 yards for SUU.

Demetrius Crawford rushed 15 times for 48 yards for the Bobcats.
