FRISCO, Texas (AP) -- Mark Wilson scored his first career MLS goal in the 57th minute to help FC Dallas beat Real Salt Lake 2-1 on Saturday night.
FC Dallas (2-0-0) had a comeback win at home for the second consecutive week and extended Real Salt Lake's winless streak to 14 games dating to last season.
Wilson scored from less than 5 yards when he deflected Real Salt Lake defender Carrey Talley's clearing attempt into the center of the net. Wilson started in place of midfielder Ronnie O'Brien, who missed the game because of personal reasons.
FC Dallas defender Bobby Rhine preserved the victory when he made a sliding block in front of an open net of Douglas Sequeira's shot in the 92nd minute.
Real Salt Lake (0-2-0) scored its first goal of the season in the 36th minute for a 1-0 lead after Chris Klein fired a volley from 20 yards that found the left corner of the net. Andy Williams assisted on the goal off a free kick when he tapped the ball to Klein. Real Salt Lake was awarded the free kick after FC Dallas' Simo Valakari picked up a yellow card for a tackle from behind.
FC Dallas tied it in the 43rd minute on Kenny Cooper's second goal of the season. Carlos Ruiz set up the goal by directing a pass to a streaking Cooper from the top of the penalty box, and Cooper scored into the left corner of the net from 12 yards.
FC Dallas' Arturo Alvarez almost added another score in first-half injury time when his shot deflected off goalie Scott Garlick's arm and bounced off of the far post.
Garlick, playing against his former team for the time since an offseason trade, finished with five saves. FC Dallas goalie Dario Sala made one save.
