LOS ANGELES (AP) - Noah Hartsock scored 21 points and Brandon Davies had 15 points and 10 rebounds Thursday night to lead BYU to a 73-65 victory over Loyola Marymount.

Hartsock had 17 of his points in the second half as the Cougars (13-4, 2-1 West Coast) took control after being tied 34-34 at the break.

The Cougars built a 12-point lead with 2:34 left, but Loyola Marymount got as close as 67-65 in the closing minutes before BYU made six free throws to clinch the win.

Anthony Ireland led the Lions (8-7, 1-1) with 21 points and seven assists. Drew Viney and Jarred DuBois scored 13 points each for Loyola and Alex Osborne had a game-high 11 rebounds.
