This is Chris Redgrave for Zions Bank Speaking on Business.

Hoyt Archery right here in Utah leads the world in designing and manufacture of the compound and recurve target and hunting bows. These are world-class bows used by millions of archers worldwide, including Olympic archers. With Utah's connection to the Olympic games — with 2012 our 10th anniversary — this is information about Hoyt Archery Utah can relate to.

More Olympic medals have been won with Hoyt bows, handmade in Utah, than all over brands combined. In fact, 75 percent of the bows in the Olympic games are built here. These stunning handmade pieces of equipment are 100 percent American made.

Hoyt Archery designed the carbon element bow after a lot of research and development with their engineering team. Since they introduced the product three years ago, Hoyt can't make the carbon bows fast enough. Whenever this bow-making company can support local Utah vendors to give back to the local market . . . they do.

Founded more than 80 years ago as a small father and son operation in St. Louis, Hoyt made their move to Salt Lake in 1984 after James Easton acquired the company. This amazing company recently moved to a 150,000 square foot building, located on Wright Brothers Drive. It's a state-of-the-art facility, loaded with a driven, passionate group of folks always looking to improve.

The employees are so passionate about archery that Hoyt has set up an archery lane so employees can work on their skill with the equipment they build every day.

In meeting with Mike Luper, the vice-president of sales and marketing, you understand the commitment of this team and how proud they are to be associated with such a world-class product. Mike has shared with the employees that even though they won't know it, they could be making the bow held by an Olympian going for gold.

Hoyt Archery is putting Utah on the map with one of four 2012 World Cup archery tournaments making a stop in Ogden. The other three will be held in China, Turkey and Japan.

For Zions Bank, I'm Chris Redgrave, speaking on business.
