IRVINE, Calif. (AP) -- If you don't want to pay top dollar for a new car, there's good news for you.
Kelley Blue Book has released a list of what it calls top-ten cool, affordable new vehicles. The prices start at about 15 and a-half thousand dollars, topping out under 18-thousand.
Cars on the list include the new Dodge Caliber, the Mazda Three and the Chevrolet H-H-R as well as some more familar names like the Kia Sportage and the Honda Civic.
Kelley Blue Book says it chose the 18-thousand dollar ceiling, because it means a monthly payment of 350 dollars or less over five years.
Editor Jack Nerad (NEE'-rad) says the economy cars offer a number of key features previously available only in luxury cars, like an I-Pod connection.
Kelley Blue Book may be best known for listing the price of used cars.
