Following head coach Scott Briggs, the second-in-state-ranked Jaguars, grabbed the opening tip and never looked back.

The Vikings were back on their heels right from the start and struggled to keep in the game. They did show some drive as they outscored West Jordan in the second quarter 17-14 but were still down 29-22 at the half.

Senior Jordan Loveridge scored 13 of his game-high 19 before the second quarter ended. "We are just glad to have him on the team" said Briggs. "He does a great job on the glass and he has the support of his teammates." Senior guard Jaden Jackson was second high scorer with 18 points and the other senior guard Jordan Pryor tossed in 11 points.

The Jaguars outscored the Vikings 45-17 in the second half and the game's final score was 74-39 for the Jaguars.

High man for the Vikings was their 7-0 center, senior Alan Hamson with 10 points and senior guard Spencer Pincock with 9 pionts.

With the win, West Jordan has a 4-0 record overall as they are in the midway point of their preseason games. They now move on to play in the Great Western Shootout at Orem High School, then to the Winter Invitational at Riverton High School before the Christmas break.

Pleasant Grove will play at Jordan High School and will host West Lake High School before the Christmas break. They will then play at the Palm Desert Tournament in Palm Springs, Calif., before returning to start home games after the new year.
