MOSCOW, Idaho -- It's definitely a good thing that the Utah State Aggies and Idaho Vandals played their game inside a domed stadium. With temperatures hitting the low teens and snow swirling outside, playing a game in those conditions could have been very uncomfortable.

Apparently for the Idaho fans, it was too nasty outside to make it to the game as very few people attended the contest.

Korry Hintze (@korry_hintze) tweeted, "It looks like there are about 200 people in the Kibbie Dome."

Rick Lierz (@RickLierz) commented on the potential reason for the minimal attendance: "Bad weather and bad football combine for a very small Idaho home crowd."

Having watched the Idaho High School 2A State Championship on Friday night, which was played at the Kibbie Dome, it sure looked like Mr. Hintze was right on the money.

The attendance never bothered Utah State as they got off to a quick start.

John Newbold (@Hurricane_John) wrote, "What a start for the USU Aggie football team! Great opening drive finishing with a Smith 1-yard TD run."

After Idaho drove the field and hit paydirt on a 13-yard touchdown reception by Mike Scott, the Aggies struck again.

The Twitter account for the Idaho Vandals athletic department (@Idaho_Vandals) tweeted, "Utah State completes a 3-yard TD pass to Van Leeuwen. 14-7 USU."

Following a Vandal punt, Robert Turbin decided to make his impact on the game felt, not only on the score board but in the record books.

Steve Chambers (@chamberssteve) wrote, "80-yard touchdown on the first play of the series! This makes Turbin the all-time scoring leader at USU."

Eric Frandsen (@efrandsen) also said, "Robert Turbin rips and 80-yard run, setting the all-time single season scoring record for Utah State."

With that score, Turbin now has 19 touchdowns on the season, including 17 on the ground.

Sean W. (@RealDSean) asked an interesting question following the touchdown by Robert Turbin when he said, "Robert Turbin is THE best college football players in the state of Utah. Disagree?"

The Vandals added a short 23-yard field goal before the end of the half to make the score 21-10 in favor of Utah State heading into halftime.

The Upset Blog (@TheUpsetBlog) tweeted, "Aggies are in must-win mode to get to a bowl game today."

The second half got off to a bad start for the Aggies, who ended up with a turnover on their first offensive possession.

Cache Sports Media (@CacheSports_USU) wrote, "Huge mistake by the Aggies. After review, an incomplete pass was ruled a backwards pass. Idaho takes over at the USU 11-yard line."

Fortunately for the Aggies the turnover only led to a field goal, which brought the score to 21-13.

Robert Turbin got back to his dominating ways immediately on the next drive as he rumbled off a huge gain, picking up another record in the process.

Utah State Football (@USUFootball) wrote, "With that 54- yard gain, Turbin has now surpassed 3,000 career rushing yards, making him just the 5th USU running back to do so."

But on the next play, it went all downhill for Utah State.

Sean W. (@RealDSean) wrote, "Pick six for Ashley plus two- point conversion. All square in Moscow. USU 21 Idaho 21."

The Aggies came right back though, as Stanley Morrison got in on the action in a big way.

Eric Frandsen (@efrandsen) wrote, "Kennedy finds Morrison on an inside screen and he takes it to the house! Utah State 28 Idaho 21."

But Idaho responded with another scoring drive to tie it up at 28.

Justin McKissick (@justin_sr) wrote, "The question that all-Aggie faithful have on their minds... how is USU tied with Idaho late in the 3rd quarter?"

That question remained in the minds of fans after both teams were tied again at 35 in the fourth quarter. Idaho had a chance to win, but missed a 44-yard field goal. Utah State was unable to put any points on the board as well, so overtime was needed to settle it.

Idaho's Kama Bailey punched in a touchdown from two-yards out for a quick lead in overtime. But once again, it was the Aggie workhorse Robert Turbin to the rescue.

Cache Sports Media (@cachesports_USU) wrote, "Turbin into the end zone and USU sends it to double overtime!"

Now with the score at 42 points apiece, Utah State got the first crack at the end zone. Once again, Turbin did some damage.

John Coon (@johncoonsports) tweeted, "Turbin with yet another TD. Utah State leads 49-42."

The game looked like it ended on a Jumane Roberson interception. But after review, the call was reversed and Idaho was given new life.

But it wasn't over for the Aggies.

Eric Frandsen (@efrandsen) wrote, "Bobby Wagner intercepts at the goal line! USU does win!!"

Another game, another comeback for the Aggies as they knock off the pesky Idaho Vandals 49-42 in double overtime.

Tyler Lambert (@tylambert86) summed it up best:

"Utah State sure knows how to give their fans panic attacks".
