SALT LAKE CITY — The Utes hosted UCLA on a snow-covered field at Rice-Eccles Stadium, Saturday and the Utes got their third Pac-12 victory.

With the win, the Utes (6-4) are bowl eligible.

Octavio Heredia @oheredia tweeted, “snow?? well that's something new for the #PAC12, thanks Utes!”

Early in the first quarter Utah fumbled the ball on a punt return giving UCLA the ball on the 16 yard line.

Robert Jackson @rojackKSL tweeted, “And here comes the Utes mistakes: Griff McNabb fumbles the punt, UCLA recovers on the Utah 17 yard line. Uh oh.”

The defense stepped up but the great field possession gave UCLA an easy field goal and first points of the game, 3-0.

With five minutes left to go in the half John White put the Utes on the board with several big runs and a 1-yard TD carry putting Utah up 7-3

Patrick Kinahan @DJPKKFAN tweeted, “Utes go 7 plays, 39 yards. All the Fourth White”

The Utes came out ready to pick up a win in the second half.

Bubba Brown @BubbaBrown8, tweeted, “Fantastic TD catch from John White, who looked like a receiver on that pass from Jon Hays. #Utes lead the #Bruins 14-3 with 9:29 left in 3rd”

Ben Bagley @benbags tweeted, “And now JWIV shows he's a capable WR. Great throw....Better catch. #Utes up 11...ball game. Norm about to shut it down and let d finish it.”

The Utes’ then got a huge interception taking away any momentum UCLA may have had.

Patrick Kinahan @DJPKKFAN tweeted, “Prince of Interceptions has shown up. Conroy Black picks off UCLA QB. When will the Utes lose again?”

White capitalized on the interception with another touchdown on a 22-yard run putting the Utes up 21-3.

Jonathan Gold @TheCoolSub tweeted, “#Utah RB John White absolutely embarrasses #UCLA defense with beautiful run up the middle for 22-yard touchdown.”

The Utes iced the game as they stopped a UCLA fourth down conversion.

Josh Furlong @JFurKSL tweeted, “#Utah takes over after Prince fails to convert. Looking like the #Utes will become bowl eligible tonight.”

The Utes won the game 31-6 and will be going to a bowl game as a Pac-12 member.
