LIZA MINNELLI refused to see HUGH JACKMAN's turn as her flamboyant late husband PETER ALLEN in THE BOY FROM OZ - because she strongly disapproved of the Broadway, New York, production.
The CABARET star insists she "couldn't go" to see Jackman on stage in the musical - because she didn't want to support the producers, who refused to seek her approval.
She says, "It was never approved of by anybody's family. Hugh Jackman is incredibly talented but I don't believe in supporting people who use you.
"The people that did it never sent me the script. I asked for it. And I thought, 'To hell with it. If they don't want to send it to me, then there's something wrong with it.'" (KL/WNVKIN/JB)
