LOGAN -- It was a cool night at Romney Stadium on Saturday for Utah State football game. Even with the colder temperatures, many fans braved the elements to attend the Aggies contest against the Wyoming Cowboys.

After the first three minutes of the game, many of the Aggie faithful may have wanted to leave.

The Cowboys drove the length of the field and got a Brandon Miller touchdown from the Utah State two yard-line for the early lead.

Salt Lake Tribune writer Tony Jones (@TonyAggieville) tweeted, "Might be the worst defensive possession of the year for USU. Hot knife through butter is what I would call Wyoming's drive. Missed assignments everywhere."

If that was the worst defensive possession, the very next play may have been the worst for the special teams despite all of their struggles this year.

Utah State's Kerwynn Williams had the ensuing kickoff hit his foot without realizing it and Wyoming recovered the football in the end zone for another quick score.

One Twitter user named Graveyard Dog (@DaddyThugz) said, "I think this game we chose to not play the first three minutes instead of the last three minutes."

J. Benjamin Williams (@heyitsben1) gave the rhetorical question and answer on his Twitter page when he said, "Who has the worst special teams in the nation? Answer: USU Aggies."

It appears that Aggies fans may have had enough of the special teams' continued blunders during each game.

T. Wade (@cheecho6) tweeted, "Fire the special teams coach!!! Pathetic."

After Utah State spotted the Cowboys a 12-point lead, the Aggies got down to business and began to do something that we haven't seen all season; make a comeback.

It only took 1:42 for the Aggies to hit the scoreboard as Chuckie Keeton led the team down the field, setting up Robert Turbin for his first touchdown of the night. With that touchdown, 19 points had been scored in the first five minutes of the game.

Tony Jones (@TonyAggieville) tweeted, "USU draws within 12-7. Apparently, defense is optional in the first quarter." With the high scoring affair in full swing early on, Andy Cooper (@Andy_Cooper7) joked that the final score would be, "USU 84 Wyoming 77."

Ben Draper of TornBySports.com (@TBS_Aggie) wrote, "Holy shootout! Aggies may really put up 80!"

A Twitter user watching the game named Will (@BadWillHunting) tweeted, "USU/WYO game is an old-school WAC shootout type of game."

It was a shootout until it became very one-sided in favor of the Aggies. Utah State's offense found its groove in a serious way and by the middle portion of the third quarter, the game was all but over.

Tony Jones (@TonyAggieville) wrote, "Utah State has outscored Wyoming 56-7 since the first three minutes."

USU fan Todd Olsen (@TheUnderdog92) tweeted, "USU is ripping it up. Keep it up boys."

As with the results of the season thus far for the Aggies, there are always those proverbial fans and critics who bring up the history of USU faltering in the final minutes.

Early in the third quarter, the Utah Sports Examiner (@ExmnrUtahSports) wrote, "If Wyoming can come back from being down 42-19 to Utah State, then the Aggies clearly have issues even Dr. Freud couldn't solve."

Austin Christensen (@crackalacka22) echoed that sentiment when he tweeted, "Utah State still hasn't had time to choke. Wait for it."

Even with the doubters, the Aggies made it clear that the Cowboys would not be walking away from Romney Stadium with a win in their back pocket.

Up until the 2:29 mark of the third quarter, Utah State had not punted once as all of their drives ended with a touchdown.

Josh Wood (@WoodshedPodcast) quipped, "USU should send their punter home for the night. Go home man, go catch a movie or something."

Kraig Williams of the Deseret News (@DesNewsKraig) wrote about why the Aggies shouldn't run up the score on Wyoming when he tweeted, "Scott Barnes (USU Athletic Director) is going to tell Gary to tone it down. Wyoming has a vote in Mountain West Conference expansion."

This was definitely a night of redemption for the Aggies as they closed out their non-conference schedule with a 63-19 win.

Tony Jones (@TonyAggieville) summed up the night well with his quote from head coach Gary Andersen: "Winning is fun."
