SALT LAKE CITY - Utah suffered another loss this week as the Utes' turned the ball over five times against Arizona State. Here is a look at the games top performers.
Clint Floyd
Clint Floyd, Arizona State safety played outstanding defense throughout the game. Floyd provided excellent pass coverage and forced two turnovers allowing the Sun Devils to take a controlling lead in the third quarter. Floyd had an interception and forced a fumble with a hit to Reggie Dunn. Both of Floyd's turnovers resulted in touchdowns for the Sun Devils.
Arizona State Receivers
The Arizona State receivers looked great as they took on Utah. Brock Osweiler threw for 325 yards and distributed the ball pretty very well through out the game. Mike Willie and Gerell Robinson both had seven receptions while seven other players also had receptions in the game, totaling nine receivers to record catches. Robinson lead the way with 101 yards and Willie came in right behind with 98 yards.
Trevor Reilly
Utah linebacker Trevor Reilly made some great plays on defense to keep to Utes' in the game. Reilly had a huge sack for a ten yards loss and made some key third down stops. The entire Ute defense played exceptionally well but when there are five turnovers it is hard to keep points off the board.
Utah's Offensive Line
The Utes' offensive line played well through out the game. The line provided good protection for Hays. The line all so made key blocks and provided big holes so the Utes' could establish the running game early on. The line executed their job; it was once again turnovers that took this game from Utah.
Brock Osweiler
Brock Osweiler, Arizona State's quarterback, was able to capitalize on turnovers and lead the Sun Devils to a victory. Osweiler kept his composure in the pocket and found open receivers down field. Osweiler had to rely on his receivers, because Arizona State could not establish a running game. Osweiler threw for 325 yards and was 25-41.
