WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) -- Penguin Inc. will pay former Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan between $8.5 million and $9 million for worldwide rights to his upcoming memoirs, the New York Post reported Tuesday, quoting sources in the publishing industry. Greenspan's advance would top the $8.5 million paid to Pope John Paul II for his book and the $8 million paid to Hillary Clinton. Only Bill Clinton's $12 million advance tops Greenspan's, the Post said. Penguin is a unit of Pearson plc .
