LOS ANGELES, Mar 3, 2006 (UPI via COMTEX) -- Sheryl Crow attended a Hollywood party in her honor and signed autographs for friends, just a week after undergoing surgery for breast cancer.

Courteney Cox Arquette and Laura Dern were among the friends gathered to support the singer in her battle against the disease, the TV show "Extra" reported Friday.

People magazine reported Crow was considering finishing her cancer treatment closer to her family near Nashville.

She has also been in touch with her former finance and cancer survivor Lance Armstrong, People Executive Editor Peter Castro said.

"He's extremely concerned," Castro said. "And she's extremely grateful for that concern."

Castro said Armstrong has been helping ensure Crow gets "the very best of care."
