ANTELOPE ISLAND — Hot air balloons launched from Kaysville I-15 colored the skies Saturday morning during the second day of the Antelope Island Stampede Festival. Fireworks are scheduled to add their own color to the skies Saturday evening on Antelope Island at White Rock Bay.
This is the first Stampede Festival. Organizers approached Davis County Commission for some help from the county with funding, hoping to make the event . They hope the event will highlight the island and to gain regional attention.
The festival continues Sunday and includes concerts, bands, BMX riders, food and other attractions. See www.antelopeislandstampede.com for a full schedule of events.
