SALT LAKE CITY -- The University of Utah kicked off its 117th season and first as a member of the newly formed Pac 12. The Utes walked off the field with a W, but the offense walked off with a big question mark.

Tweets were rolling in all night and the thoughts on the Utes' performance were mixed.

Ben Bagely, the host of Power House on KFAN, tweeted, "Ute fans can B a little worried at this point. Have not been as dominate as you'd expect it to be. 2nd half has been poor," from his feed @benbags.

The Upset Blog tweeted, "He (Whittingham) knows Utah has tons of work to do," referring to Coach Whit's chuckle when David Locke said, "Good luck in L.A. next week."

Not all the tweets coming in were negative however. My feed lit up when Blechen pulled in his second interception and people couldn't stop talking about running back John White.

"Not a pretty second half. But hey, it's a win! John White is a stud. Looking forward to going to the USC game next week," tweeted Ute fan Bryan Packer from his handle @Bryan_Packer.

Praise for quarterback Jordan Wynn was much harder to come by. When I asked what people thought of Wynn's performance the responses weren't great.

"I am worried about Wynn. He did ok, but not crisp throwing at all. Lots of wobbly passes or balls thrown too low," tweeted @UofUfan1007." @taylordmorgan tweeted, "disappointed in Wynn so far, but he'll progress. Jon White is legit." And @cjhirschi simply tweeted, "uninspired."

The Utes have some ground to make up before next week, but there were some great bright spots. The defense looked pretty sharp, the offensive line had great push off the line and John White is the real deal.

From all of the tweets during the game I think the one thing we all learned from following the feeds is that Patrick Kinahan from KFAN and the handle @DJPKKFAN is that there are a lot of things that, "won't work in the PAC 12."
