Study Shows Americans, and Utahns, Gaining Weight

(KSL News) America's expanding waistline is not taking a break.

According to the Trust for America's Health, obesity rates continued to march upward in 31 states.

Not one single state shed any of its collective extra pounds.

Thirty percent of adults in Mississippi are considered obese followed by West Virginia and Alabama.

Colorado had the lowest rate with 18 percent.

The report also looked at obesity rates in children ages 10 to 17. The District of Columbia ranked highest with nearly 23 percent. Utah ranked lowest with only 9 percent.
