PROVO, Utah (AP) -- Utah State will visit Brigham Young this fall for the first football game between the Aggies and Cougars since 2002.
Utah State will play at BYU on Sept. 23 and the schools have also agreed to a 2008 game in Logan and 2009 in Provo.
"We're excited to resume this great in-state rivalry," BYU athletic director Tom Holmoe said. "This is a game that dates back over 80 years."
BYU and Utah State have played 76 times and the Cougars hold a 40-33-3 advantage.
In order to resume the series this fall, Utah State replaced a scheduled visit to Oregon on Sept. 23. Utah State negotiating a buyout agreement with Oregon. The Aggies are scheduled to visit the Ducks in 2008.
