NEW YORK, Feb 28, 2006 (UPI via COMTEX) -- New York-based HarperCollins is getting ready to release a parody of James Frey's memoir-turned-fiction, "A Million Little Pieces."
Frey's best-seller was championed by Oprah Winfrey and flew off store shelves -- then set off a firestorm when it was revealed to be quite of bit fiction.
"A Million Little Lies," by James Pinocchio is scheduled for March 28 release, the New York Daily News said Tuesday.
The book starts with Pinocchio waking up in the back of a New York City taxi with a combination lock on his left ear. His rich parents send him off to the rehab facility, Sleepy Hollow, where he meets fascinating characters, each more "unbelievable and amazing than the next," publicity for the satire says.
A HarperCollins employee told the Daily News the publishers liked the book "because it was so honest and real."
