We are finally in the home stretch. I didn’t think I would ever see the end. I have to be honest, I want to come home in the worst way. Don’t get me wrong, this has been an amazing experience, but it’s tough being away from family and friends for this long. It has become increasingly difficult to concentrate on work knowing that we will be flying home in three days. We miss things from home so much that Shelly O thought a furry pillow against her leg one night was her dog curling up to her.

We did have some fun tonight in Torino. It got our minds off of things for a while. On the suggestion of Shelly O we all ate at a fun little restaurant that served good old American Steak. What an amazing sight. Not the steak....but the lack of pasta on my plate. It was the most beautiful thing I have seen in three weeks. On top of the food, the restaurant was quite a sight. There were some very “bare” pictures on the walls. Obviously I can’t post those pictures if I want a job when I get home....but trust me they were creative in what they didn’t cover.

In my last blog I told you all how Apolo Anton Ohno was stopping by our workspace to do interviews. After three hours of waiting it became clear to us all that he was not going to show up. He did however, show up tonight. It was fun to talk to him, see his medals and have pictures taken.

Our last live shot is Sunday night at 10pm, that's 7am Monday for those of you wondering. It has been fun traveling to a different country, meeting people we can’t communicate with, eating mystery meat and pasta for every meal and working between 12-15 hours a day for three weeks straight to bring you up close and personal to the Olympic Experience. I wouldn’t trade this trip for anything.
